Security
Please allow at least 15 minutes for a security screening to enter the NCI Shady Grove campus. All visitors must sign in at the security desk and submit to an inspection. You will need a government-issued photo ID, such as a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or passport. Visitors will be required to pass through a metal detector and have bags inspected or x-rayed as they enter the building. A representative from the event will direct you to the meeting room.

Attention: Visitors who are not NIH badge-holders, U.S. citizens, or U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents (green card holders) must submit proper documentation no later than 30 days prior to their visit to the NCI facility. You will receive further instructions for your documentation submittal shortly after you register for this event. Please be advised that failure to submit the required forms at least 30 days before your scheduled arrival will result in denial of entry to the NCI facility.
Getting to NCI
DC Metro Red Line Service Advisory (Summer 2026): From July 6–September 7, 2026, WMATA will conduct major construction on the DC Metro Red Line. During this period, trains will not operate between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights.
Free, ADA-accessible shuttle buses will operate every 5–8 minutes, including an express shuttle between Friendship Heights and North Bethesda. Attendees traveling by Metro to the Shady Grove station should plan for additional travel time.

Metro + Shady Grove Shuttle: Metrorail service is available via the Red Line to the Shady Grove station (terminal stop). Exit the Metro station on the "Kiss & Ride" side and look for signs for the NCI Shady Grove shuttle. The NCI shuttle runs throughout the day and drops off in front of the NCI building.

NCI Visitor Parking: Visitors to NCI Shady Grove can park in the NCI Shady Grove garage, which is directly across from the campus building. Visitor parking lot tickets can be validated at the guard station in the lobby after signing in.
Super Shuttle: Available from all the above-mentioned airports to NCI Shady Grove. For reservations call 1-800-258-3826 or visit www.supershuttle.com.
Ride Share: If using a ride share service, like Uber, Lyft, or Taxi, please use the venue address 9609 Medical Center Drive, Rockville, MD, 20850. There is a roundabout outside the main entrance for drop-off.
