Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
- By Car or Taxi: Drive time is estimated at 50 minutes (40 miles) to NCI Shady Grove, depending on traffic.
- By MTA Route 201 Bus: Travel time is estimated at 80 minutes. Coach bus from BWI to Shady Grove Metro station. At BWI the bus stops near Concourses A (Southwest Airlines) and E (International terminal). See daily time timetables as hours of service vary by day.
Dulles International Airport (IAD)
- By Car or Taxi: Drive time is estimated at 60 minutes (40 miles) to NCI Shady Grove, depending on traffic.
- By Metrorail: Take Metrorail from IAD toward Largo, transferring from the Silver Line to the Red Line at Farragut West toward Shady Grove. Please review the DC Metro Red Line Service Advisory for important information regarding summer construction, shuttle service, and alternate routing.
Dining
On-Site Dining: The NCI Shady Grove cafeteria offers breakfast, lunch, snacks, desserts, and bottled beverages between the hours of 8:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday. It is self-checkout, accepting credit card payments only.
Nearby Dining Options: Adjacent to the building are fast-casual dining options. Anyone leaving the building must re-enter at the main entrance and go through security again. Please have your ID or NIH badge with you for re-entry.
