Abstract Formatting Requirements
Your abstract should fit within one-page and have the following format:
Margins: 1.0 for the right and left 0.75 for the top 0.5 for the bottom
Font: Calibri 11
Guidance for Header:
Title in Bold (Initial Caps)
Authors in Italics, Presenting author underlined, separated by commas.
Affiliation of authors should be in italics with city and state abbreviation, separated by semi colon. If multiple affiliations, use superscript references.
Text of abstract:
The body of the abstract MUST include the following sections: BACKGROUND, METHODS, RESULTS and CONCLUSIONS. Tables are allowed only if the entire abstract fits onto one page including references. The text for each section of the abstract should highlight and summarize the major points. The BACKGROUND section should provide information on rationale, scope and objectives; METHODS section on how was it studied; RESULTS section should describe what were the principle finding and; CONCLUSIONS section should summarize what does the data mean. The abstract should allow reviewers to determine the merits of the research project being submitted.
