NIH Intramural Research on Hispanic/Latino populations

National Cancer Institute at Shady Grove, 9609 Medical Center Drive, Rockville, MD 20850

Friday, December 8, 2023 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Background: Hispanic/Latino populations are underrepresented in health research and face a variety of health-related inequalities. A number of Intramural researchers are conducting projects among Hispanic/Latino populations. To learn about existing research projects across the Intramural Research Program of NIH, the NIH Hispanic Health Research Scientific Interest Group will hold a meeting on December 8, 2023 at the NCI Shady Grove campus.

The aim of the meeting is to promote trans-NIH research collaborations to address health disparities and inequities among Hispanic/Latino populations. All intramural scientists are invited to give a brief presentation (~5 min) of their research among Hispanic/Latino populations. All intramural scientists are also invited to display a poster describing their research. There will be ample opportunity for meeting attendees to network and talk one-on-one.
