Overview
This think tank meeting will focus on the two major cancers of the liver, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). The fully virtual meeting will be conducted April 7-8, 2025. The sessions have been designed to meet these key objectives:
- Assess Disease Burden and Research Gaps:
Review the current state of liver cancer and cholangiocarcinoma in terms of epidemiology, risk factors, and disease burden, highlighting ongoing research and identifying key challenges and opportunities. - Identify Research Gaps and Opportunities in Mechanistic, Clinical, and Population Research:
Identify key gaps and opportunities in research in biological mechanisms, early detection, screening, prevention, and treatment strategies while addressing the clin - Engage Experts and Advocates for Future Research:
Bring together a diverse group of experts and patient advocates to comprehensively explore the disease landscape, ensuring a collaborative approach to shape future research and public health strategies.
