Industry Day – April 8, 2021
NCI’s Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC), the only FFRDC dedicated solely to biomedical research, provides rapid response capabilities and one-of-a-kind resources for the biomedical research community including NCI, NIH, and other Federal Aagencies. Located in Frederick, MD, the NCI FFRDC operates the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR), government-owned, contractor-operated (GOCO) research facility with a unique array of research support and advanced technologies, whose purpose is to bridge the knowledge gaps starting with discovery and traversing through healthcare delivery.
The FNLCR NCI’s FFRDC facilitates and accelerates the development of new technologies and prototype treatments for cancer and infectious disease and paves the way for these advances to enter first-in-human clinical trials for investigation, regulatory approval, and commercial access.
NCI is hosting NCI’s FFRDC Industry Day," on April 8, 2021 from 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. ET.
- The virtual event is open to industry and other organizations interested in bidding on the contract to operate the FNLCR for the next several years.
- The all-day meeting will showcase the innovative work currently being performed at the FNLCR, NCI’s vision for the future of the lab, the requirements for operating the FNLCR contract, and provide the opportunity for industry to provide valuable feedback.
- The event will consist primarily of presentations providing information concerning the FNLCR mission and purpose, overview of scientific programs and technical capabilities, and an overview of management, facilities, and business operations.
