Continuing Medical Education (CME)

Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities are offered by the National Institutes of Health with The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as the CME provider. A unique CME code is announced at the start of each lecture. You can receive CME credit for live lectures only (via Webex); we apologize that we cannot offer CME credit for archived lectures.

To claim CME credit, you must first create a user profile by visiting https://hopkinscme.cloud-cme.com and clicking the “Sign Up Now” button. Once you have registered, you can pair your account with your mobile phone. Then, to receive credits, you can text the CME code to (844)-980-1555 during or up to 8 hours after the lecture.

Activity Description

This seminar series features talks by researchers and cancer control experts working in global oncology. The seminars provide opportunities for discussion and collaboration around impactful and innovative work that addresses cancer morbidity and mortality worldwide.

Who Should Attend

This activity is intended for global oncology researchers and practitioners, cancer control experts and implementers, and program planners. 

Global Objectives

After attending the activity, participants will demonstrate the ability to: (1) Employ a multidisciplinary, cooperative, and iterative approach to the exchange of medical education across the breadth of Johns Hopkins Medicine and affiliate practitioners and educators; (2) Improve the safety and quality of patient care by analyzing systems-based and practice-based processes; (3) Translate recent research, new techniques, guidelines, etc. to clinical practice, based on the methodological quality of their design, validity, and applicability to patient care; (4) Foster communication among healthcare stakeholders by exploring and integrating patient-centered, team-based strategies, when appropriate; (5) Compare and contrast patient outcomes of past cases with current one to inform treatment strategies.

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation Statement

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine designates this regularly scheduled series-live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
