Overview
The aim of this webinar is to share key findings from the National Cancer Control Plan Development Research Initiative (NCCP DRIVE) study and its associated publication, and to explore follow-up research questions relevant to cancer planners engaged in the development and implementation of National Cancer Control Plans (NCCPs).
In 2023, International Cancer Control Partnership (ICCP) researchers sought to answer the fundamental question: What are all the components that cancer planners face in the NCCP development process? This inquiry led to the development of a qualitative study, NCCP DRIVE, which culminated in a peer-reviewed publication in the Journal of Cancer Policy in March 2026.
During the webinar, cancer planners from four countries who participated in the study will reflect on the findings and share insights from their real-world cancer control planning experiences and expertise. Their perspectives will help contextualize the results and identify practical considerations for strengthening NCCP development and implementation.
The target audience for this webinar includes countries actively involved in national cancer control planning, as well as their partners, allies, and collaborators, including other members of ICCP partner organizations. Simultaneous translation will be available in Spanish, French, and Portuguese. Our virtual platform is Webex. If you require any assistance, please refer to our WebEx Tip Sheet for support.
