Overview

Recent advances in cancer biology have resulted in the need for increased statistical analysis of research data.

This three-day course combines Statistical Analysis of Research Data SARD) and Statistical Tutorial (ST). The course is designed to provide an overview of the general principles of statistical analysis of research data and how to apply the general principles, which include descriptive statistics, z-and t-tests of means and differences, simple and multiple linear regression, ANOVA tests, and Chi-Squared distribution.

The course will be held in person on March 6-7, 2024, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and on March 8, 2024, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Bldg. 45, Balcony B on Bethesda campus.

  • The participation of NIH/NCI clinical and postdoctoral fellows who need to learn more about statistics is encouraged.
  • Class size is limited to the first 75 registrants.
