Virtual Mentor Mixer

Tuesday, May 19, 2020

Effective mentoring is vital to success in our professional and personal lives. It can increase technical skills, enable better leadership, and lead to be a better research experience. As part of the Second Mentor Program hosted by the Frederick Diversity Committee (FDC), the Spring Virtual Mentor-Mentee Mixer is an opportunity to foster interactions between fellows and various established scientists and administrators in a neutral and fun setting. Participate in casual conversations to learn more about careers in various sectors.

Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2020
Time: 2pm – 4pm

About the FDC:

The Frederick Diversity Committee (FDC) consists of a group of fellows from NCI Frederick striving to promote diversity at the Frederick campus. The FDC aims to provide all Frederick fellows an avenue to interact and develop multiple facets of their professional and personal lives. We organize workshops, seminars, and events to encourage networking that will help fellows build their careers and ultimately find their next position. As such, we highly encourage all trainees to participate in our Second Mentor Program (SMP), which aims to help you grow your network for career success. To learn more about the FDC, please visit https://ncifrederick.cancer.gov/diversity/ or attend our regular meetings every 3rd Friday at 1 PM in Building 549 EBR.
