Overview
Metabolomic epidemiology is a complex interdisciplinary field of research that applies epidemiological methods to study the metabolomic underpinnings of human health and disease. The COnsortium of METabolomics Studies was established to build infrastructure and facilitate collaborations among prospective cohort studies to enable research in the rapidly advancing field of metabolomic epidemiology. As we near ten years of the COMETS Consortium, we invite COMETS members and other researchers in the field of metabolomic epidemiology to join the 2024 All Hands Meeting on September 19th. During this meeting, we'll discuss:
- The history of COMETS.
- Insights from metabolomic epidemiology with a view to advance our understanding of metabolomic health and its relationship with complex diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, and brain health.
- Gaps and opportunities in metabolomic epidemiology and future direction for COMETS.
